Complete Screening Inc. (CSI) staffers gets befuddled and bemused by the criminal records that we retrieve on applicants who apply for an apartment.
Part of the process to rent an apartment is to acquire a credit report, rental history, job verification and a criminal check….so when we verify someone’s job, CSI pretty much knows the criminal background of the wannabe renter. We have lost count the number of cashiers with theft charges lodged by previous employers, serious assault and sexual offenses, theft and violence charges filed against caregivers of children and elderly people. Seriously? Do you make hiring decisions based on a pretty smile and/or a friendly face? Didn’t your momma tell you?
“Everyone is nice when they want something.”Before you let anyone share your office or have contact with your valuable customers and clients, please run a criminal background check with a reputable firm. You won’t go bald so fast. Not that there’s anything wrong with being bald. But being bald and getting ripped off or assaulted by your own employees…..well that is just ill-advised.
